We praise God that He has raised up a wonderful number of men of all different ages and backgrounds to come together and worship and serve Him at Goldings. We have men who are retired, men who are work with computers, men who work in sport, men who are in voluntary work… young men, older men, deaf men, hearing men...ALL ONE IN CHRIST! We rejoice to have amongst us men who have been walking with God for many years, as well as men who are new to the faith, and men who have maybe not yet come to know God.
Pastor Jerry, Phil Roberts and Jim Hogge organise the Men's Ministry, which was launched in January 2008, and the men have enjoyed a varied programme of events throughout our first year, including travelling to the London Men's Convention at the Royal Albert Hall; having men's breakfasts; going to the cinema together; having football matches at our church away day; hosting an 'in house' conference at Goldings and really just spending time together and getting to know each other and the Lord better.

Included testimony from Goldings own, Es Kaitell - - who until very recently owned one of London's biggest Doormen firms.
Coming from a very unusual but very loving home, life on the doors of London's pubs and clubs came as quite a culture shock to Es, but he soon adapted and became just as notorious as some of the people he dealt with. After being left for dead one night and sustaining horrific injuries, Es finally came face to face with the God he didn't believe in.
After a man-sized Buffett lunch Pastor Jerry Sandy spoke on an incident in the apostle Paul's life, where he was one man who stood up for God and spoke for God, challenging us to, like Es, be that one man who speaks out for God.

JIMMY TIBBS
Jimmy Tibbs joined West Ham Boys Boxing Club when he was 11 years old. Over the next few years he fought for schoolboys titles twice, won the NABCs, and was the North East Divisional champion senior. He was a London semi-finalist but was beaten by Mark Rowe who went on to become the British middleweight champion, as a professional has worked with some of the biggest names in British and world boxing such as former WBO middleweight champions Nigel Benn, Chris Pyatt and Amir Khan.

Muhammed Ali picks himself up off the canvas after a sparring session with Jimmy Tibbs in London prior to his fight with Henry Cooper.
Jimmy Tibbs was a lucky man. At 24 years of age he was a capable professional boxer with a loving wife and two young children. But his life changed in a most dramatic fashion after he was convicted of attempted murder and sentenced to 10 years in prison, following a trial that rocked the east end of London.
Jimmy is now a free man, a Born Again Christian, living a happy and contented life with his family - a man who has built up a reputation as one of the finest boxing trainers around.

Renton Baker is a former notorious football hooligan, once known as ‘The General’. His life spiralled out of control when his father died of cancer. He was drawn into football violence, and it was here that he started to live a double life. Renton’s love of violence on the football terraces, streets, pubs and clubs across England became too strong for him to resist.
