I was in the Sunday School at Goldings Hill Free Church nearly 60 years ago! It was a very small church then. I lived at 45 Englands Lane Loughton. My parents, Ron and Connie Currey were very active in the church and I believe my grandfather Ernest Currey was superintendent there before I was born. I read about the church in the New Life Easter paper - it's really encouraging to find out all God is doing.

We really enjoyed the ladies ten pin bowling night. It was good to have 25 women there and to get to know each other better, having lots of chats and lots of laughter. Us three deaf ladies were able to mix with the hearing ladies and really enjoyed a chance to have an evening together. Well done to Pat she won the ladies bowling competition twice! I’m sure all of us ladies will be practicing to beat her time (ha ha). Nice that there are some pictures up in the church hall already – it was a really blessed night.

I meant to add that I'm an associate worker with the Open-Air Mission - do you work with them? Like you they have a passion for reaching the 'Christless multitudes' of this country.

Thank you so much for your visit to Felixstowe today. We were greatly blessed by Jimmy's testimony and Jerry's preaching - what wonderful messages. Please come again!

I related to Jimmy's words - only God could have changed me - which he did many years later (in 2004). Like you, I tell the world - well Felixstowe! He saved me in 2004 at the age of 61 - there's hope for everybody.
With Christian love to you, your families and all at Golding's, Loughton and thanks again for God's amazing Word brought to us through you.

Janice and I would like to congratulate Pastor Jerry on 10 years of ministering at Goldings. We give God great praise for the 4 new elders who have come alongside Pastor to support, preach, stand firm on the truth of the Bible, and love the people of Goldings.
May we just share this verses with the elders:
"Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the temple of the LORD is finished. 1 Chronicles 28:20
“Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. Let all that you do be done with love.” Corinthians 16:13, 14.
Praising God for the many blessings He has given us at Goldings.

How appropriate that we sang Amazing Grace today at church. as God has indeed poured out His Grace, Love, Mercy and Compassion on His people at Goldings. Two men Baptised today and two women placing their trust in Jesus as Lord and Saviour. Please keep us humble Lord, and fill us with your Holy Spirit. We thank you for your word that was spoken by Pastor Jerry and the word you spoke through Tom, we trust and know that your word will continue to bring life to the people of Goldings Church and all who come to visit. Amen

What an excellent weekend we have just had at Goldings. The MAN2MAN conference was very powerful. I loved what Jim Hogge said about being so full of the Spirit that it leaves no room in your heart for sin! Pastor also preached a very moving sermon on Sunday morning about the cup of wrath and the cup of forgiveness – praise the Lord he took the cup of wrath so we could have the cup of forgiveness! The One Body meetings are also such a blessing. It is so thrilling to see the Holy Spirit moving amongst us. I am also enjoying getting to know more people in the church and am enjoying the prayer link – Our deaf people have been at Goldings for nearly 10 years and never been involved until now – it’s a blessing!
Hebrews 12:14 ….”.without holiness no-one will see the Lord” It's so brilliant to be part of a church where Jesus Christ is exalted and to see so much joy on the faces of believers.
May the Lord be with you always
