Angus is part of Goldings Church and is a co-leader of Youth Zone which works in partnership with Latchett Church, Community Healthcare Innovations and Valley Hill Trust. We at Goldings are actively and prayerfully supportive of the work that Angus is involved with.
Angus strongly believes that church should be accessible and relevant to young people and is always working towards achieving that aim.
Angus currently provides lifts to church for young people travelling from the Woodford/Woodford green area.
At Goldings we feel privaleged to have someone with Angus' enthusiasm and expertise on board. Angust previously ran a large youth group in Loughton from 1998 until 2006. He is a qualified engineer, and as such worked at both Heathrow and Gatwick airports among other sites. He has also worked as a van driver, driving instructor, school cycling proficiency instructor, coach driver and has run his own grounds and property maintenance business. He currently works full time as a youth worker on a bus converted into a mobile youth centre. Angus' recreational activities include the restoration and modification of classic cars and Land Rovers - he restored his first classic car at the age of 14 and has been involved in off-roading for over ten years. He is also a keen boater and is slowly restoring his own boat currently moored on the River Lee.
Angus has a passion for providing young people with opportunities they may not otherwise have - this has included employment and training, off roading and off road competitions as well as all manner of practical projects and residential experiences. He also supports young people who are struggling with school or other issues.
